Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira was born on the 26th of May 1978 at Campinas Sao Paulo, Brazil. Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009) and A Indomada (1997) are among her best-known films. Ana Paula Oliveira became a member of the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC) in March of 2020. She currently works as an analyst in charge of the Assassination Witness project as well as a core member of the GI-TOC's multilateral engagement group. The GI-TOC's research activities is focused on disappearances, assassinations and various forms of violence within the context of illicit economies. Research interests focus on the effects of organized crime on human rights and humanitarian rights, as well as the impact of policies and laws. Ana Paula received an LL.M.cum honors degree from the field of International Law, from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies at Geneva. She also holds obtained an LL.M. qualification in Public Law as well an MBA from Fundacao Getulio Vargas, Rio de Janeiro. Ana Paula earned a magnacum honours bachelor's degree Legal as well as Social Sciences at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her legal experience includes four years of practice with a firm that is specialized in litigation involving public law. Additionally, she has held assistant posts at non-governmental institutions located in Rio de Janeiro, and Geneva.
