Abbie and Betty

Abbie Cornish (born 7 August 1982) is an Australian actress. Cornish is best known for her performances in films including Heidi, Fanny Brawne and Sweet Pea (in Sucker Punch), Lindy and RoboCop (2011) and Sarah and Geostorm (2017). For the latter Cornish won her debut Screen Actors Guild Award as an actor in the film. Betty Gilpin.........................American actress Betty Gilpin was fortunate to have both of her parents be professional actors. Jack Gilpin, star of Adventureland 2009 as well as a variety of others, was her father. Ann McDonough was her mother. Betty Gilpin chose to act because her parents supported and believed in her. When the time came to go back to college, she chose Fordham College where she learned to develop her skills. After graduating, Gilpin started acting in Off-Broadway shows while auditioning for film and TV roles. Gilpin was cast as the lead in NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent 2001-2011, and later small part of Ghost Town (2008), and The Northern Kingdom (2009). Gilpin continued to get TV guest appearances throughout the years. Her breakthrough was in 2013, when she got a role as a regular on Nurse Jackie. Gilpin was the character Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin in 34 episodes before Nurse Jackie's run ended in June of 2015. Gilpin appeared the same year on True Story, a mystery thriller.
